Hilton Head was wonderful!

I didn't realize how much I needed to get away until we were... away! Hilton Head was wonderful, we had the best time. We stayed with JW's friends and they were delightful. They have an incredible vacation home in Wexford, which is also where I played an aweful round of golf. I ended up only playing once, JW got in at least 3 rounds (lucky him!). I spent time hanging out with the girls and just relaxing. The drive was about 8.5-9 hours and not so bad, being that JW drove the entire way! We also spent the day in Savannah since it was about 45 mins-1 hr drive from HHI. I loved it there, the gardens were beautiful. We had lunch at The Lady and Her Sons, Paula Dean's restaurant, boy was the food good! I was hoping to see Paula, but no such luck.

I did some shopping, and found some cute things. I really enjoyed going to The Paris Market in Savannah. Being that I love most French items, I fell in love with the fabulous finds of this store. I also got a cute golf outfit at the Izod outlet, with 70% off all the items that I found, I'll still have money to play a few rounds of golf this season!

Getting ready for Hilton Head!

I had a nice weekend in DC with JW. My mom decided to come to town, last minute, for some much needed R&R. She and my aunt stayed at the Gaylord at the National Harbor. It's a beautiful hotel, the entire place was really nice. There were tons of restaurants, hotels and things to do, we'll have to go back during the day to hang out.

I've started packing for our trip to Hilton Head. I'm really excited about going away. Work has been really crazy lately, it'll be nice to just not be there! I found the most adorable Lilly skirt at a consignment shop, it was too big in the waist, so I had it taken in and now it fits perfectly! I can't wait to wear it! I'm watching the weather to get an idea of what to pack. I know that we'll play some golf, so I can finally break out my cute new golf shoes and skorts. Like I always say, even if my game isn't great that day, I'll look fabulous on the links!

JW's birthday is Thursday, how exciting is that... the big 4-0! Hopefully he'll like his gifts, I can't tell what I got him, since he'll probably read the post. I'll report back after our trip. We're going to dinner at an old favorite in DC, Lauriol Plaza, their food is ALWAYS great!

I just needed to run!

Have you ever just needed to run? I went to the gym and got on my treadmill and just kept going... and going... 2.7 miles later,
I felt as if I could keep going forever. What was I running from or to? I didn't make it to the gym once last week and it just about killed me! I'm one of those people who loves to exercise, it's a great way for me to deal with stress and forgot about my day. So I guess my need to run was from not being able to workout last week.

I'm excited about going to Hilton Head with JW, next week. I'm looking forward to getting away and playing some golf with my guy! It's been too cold to play here the last few days, but the end of this week is suppose to be incredible. I have a tee time booked for Thursday, but the ground will probably be too wet. This just means that I'll save my cute golf shoes for a dry day!

I started switching over my clothes for the spring and summer season, now the weather needs to warm up so that I can wear all my cute dresses. I love wearing dresses in summer, I just feel like a lady!

First round of the season!

Today was my first day out on the links for the 2010 season. I've looking forward to this day for a VERY long time. This past winter was really rough, I didn't think this day would ever come! Driving to the course I reflected on how much I love this game and how it's such a spiritual experience. There's something about being amongst nature that let's me know that God's nearby. Driving up to the course felt like I'd not seen an old friend in years! And then there she was, in all her glory, glowing from the sun's rays. Being that it's mid-March, everything's not so green, but it didn't matter, she's still beautiful!

Being that I'm starting to get into mental game coaching, I was sure to note my own thoughts, but set my intention to having fun, and fun only! So the fun really started when my friend A, on hole no. 4, split his pants, straight up the back! (For non-golfers, we had 14 more holes to go!) The laughs never ended! All in all, it was a wonderful day. I played well, as I let go of all outcomes and expectations. I'm super excited about my season and know that every hole is a new opportunity to have more fun!

Search for the perfect cupcake

This weekend was fun and finally warm. I had to work for a few hours on Saturday, but it wasn't so bad. Afterwards, JW and I ventured to the Baltimore Cupcake Co. I've been on this cupcake kick lately, wanting to find THE ultimate cupcake. We went to Georgetown Cupcake about a month ago and they have some pretty tasty choices, my favorite was key lime. So we finally get there, after his GPS took us over the hills and through the woods, and I got their key lime and a red velvet. Everything was fine, until I saw a hair in the red velvet. Needless to say that one went back into the box! I thought that they were just okay, Georgetown Cupcake is still the best so far.

I've started getting stuff on EBay, especially Lilly P- love her clothes! I got this cute Lilly shirts today in the mail and I finally wore my adorable scarf that I got from LWhelan Designs on Etsy. I'm loving the pink and green Lilly prints.

Yesterday was JW's mom's birthday. We had a great time, she just wanted her boys and their girls over for some seafood. The crab legs and shrimp were so tasty, it had me thinking of crawfish season. Boy I can't wait!

Spring is in the air!

Today was a good day. I'm really excited about my new golf venture. I bought the domain name last night to get my website going- www.ForewardProgress.com. Your golf game is a mirror image of your life. I will be helping people to look at how they can improve themselves both on and of the golf course- Golf Therapy in a sense. I've been working on this for a while now, it's great to see things falling into place.

It's suppose to be 50 degrees this weekend. I'm sure that we'll be heading to the driving range at some point. It's time to start getting ready for the season!!
